croft lodge, herefordshire

The conversion and renovation of a listed building into a comfortable and functioning family house.

The house is a collection of three cottages that were unified and given a fashionable facade in the eighteenth century.

Originally the house was in very poor repair damp and decaying. The fabric of the structure was repaired, windows overhauled and the damp rectified. The house was carful reconfigured in conjunction with the local conservation officer, rooms were opened up to give better light and space. A new kitchen and bathrooms were added as well as new electrics and plumbing systems. The old house is now fit for the modern world.
